During the last fifty years most overseas churches founded by missionaries from Britain and Ireland have become independent and the flow of help is no longer in one direction but in two. Missionaries come to Britain through the agency of the Overseas Division.
At the same time there are still ways in which we can help overseas churches, both by grants of money and by sending people with training and experience valuable to those churches.
Since 1990 new opportunities have opened up in Eastern Europe and in Russia.
For example there are now over thirty churches - two with over a thousand members each - which did not exist four years ago. At present we do not have an Overseas Missions Secretary. Is this a job that would appeal to you?
